Lizzy Caplan joins the cast of The WB's Related as 23-year-old Marjee Sorelli, an event coordinator who stresses out over her celebrity clients while secretly yearning for respect and approval from her three sisters.

Caplan is best known for her starring role in the hit feature film Mean Girls, opposite Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert and Tina Fey. In the movie, Caplan played Janis Ian, a teenage misfit who befriends Lohan's character in a quest to bring down the popular clique "The Plastics."

Caplan recently wrapped shooting lead roles in two independent features, including Love Is The Drug, in which she plays Sara. The film, which is described as a contemporary version of the 1980's cult hit Less than Zero, was directed by award-winning commercial and video director Elliott Lester (Five For Fighting, Jason Mraz, Jessica Simpson). Caplan also wrapped production on writer/director Gary Walkow's (Sundance Grand Jury Prize, The Trouble With Dick) independent feature Crashing, opposite Campbell Scott.

In addition to her film career, Caplan has an impressive string of television credits under her belt. Last season, she starred opposite Eliza Dushku in the drama Tru Calling. She also starred opposite Dylan Baker in the comedy series The Pitts, and had a recurring role in The WB's hit series Smallville, playing the role of Tina Greer, a powerful adversary to Tom Welling's Clark Kent. Additional television credits include appearances in the acclaimed series Once and Again, as well as the critically lauded Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. She also starred in Jason Mraz's music video "You and I Both."
On the big screen, Caplan's additional credits include a co-starring role in Orange County alongside Jack Black and Colin Hanks, and the independent film Hardcore Action News.

Caplan currently resides in Los Angeles.
